- Kids learn the ingredients in multiplication number sentences-- factors, products, multiplication signs and equal signs-- and master multiplication tips including ordering factors, fact families, multiplying by one and zero, skip counting and using patterns. Physical arrays of everyday objects, place value blocks, and hundreds charts help students easily visualize and solve multiplication problems. The concepts of prime and composite numbers are explored using factor rainbows, and kids experiment with different strategies for multiplying single and double-digit numbers
